Retail Setu is a business-to-business marketplace that helps retailers discover and order products from participating sellers, wholesalers and manufacturers. This Privacy Policy applies to Retail Setu services available through retailsetu.in and the Retail Setu Android application.

Depending on how you use Retail Setu, we may collect the following categories of information:

• Account information: name or username, business/shop name, mobile number, email address, account type and authentication information.
• Business information: business address, delivery address, pincode, GST/business details and other profile information you choose to provide.
• Order information: products ordered, quantities, prices, seller/buyer details, delivery information, order status and related transaction records.
• Seller content: product information, images, descriptions and other catalogue content uploaded by sellers, wholesalers or manufacturers.
• Technical information: basic device/browser information, IP address, session/security information and error or diagnostic information needed to operate and protect the service.

Passwords are handled through our authentication service and are not intended to be stored by Retail Setu as readable plain-text passwords.

We use information to:

• create, authenticate and manage user accounts;
• process B2B orders and show delivery availability for supported pincodes;
• connect buyers with the relevant seller for order fulfilment and support;
• maintain order history, account records and marketplace operations;
• prevent fraud, abuse and unauthorized access;
• respond to support requests and service-related communication; and
• maintain, troubleshoot and improve Retail Setu.

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information only when reasonably necessary with:

• Marketplace participants: relevant sellers, wholesalers, manufacturers or buyers where the information is needed to process and fulfil an order.
• Service providers: trusted infrastructure, database, authentication, hosting and technical service providers that help us operate Retail Setu.
• Legal or safety purposes: where disclosure is required by applicable law or reasonably necessary to protect users, Retail Setu or others from fraud, abuse or security threats.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or loss. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so users should also protect their account credentials and devices.

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain business and order records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements and meet legal, tax or regulatory obligations. Some records may therefore be retained for a period after an account is closed where required or permitted by law.

You may request deletion of your Retail Setu account and associated personal data. Visit our dedicated account deletion page for the request process and information about records that may need to be retained.

Retail Setu is intended for business users and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly design the marketplace for children to create business accounts or place B2B orders.

Retail Setu may use or link to third-party services, such as authentication, hosting or external seller resources. Their handling of information is governed by their own terms and privacy policies where applicable.

We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, legal requirements or data practices change. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated date.
